LaVell Edwards

General comments about the game:  

"It was a hard earned victory, which didn't surprise me.  I knew going into the game that Cal had one of the best defensive fronts we've seen in a long time.  I was pleased with the progress in the special teams."

About the status of Rob Morris:  "I don't know.  I kept thinking all along that this week was it.  It's still not ready yet. " 

Owen Pochman

About hitting all his PAT and FG attempts tonight:  "It was nice.  I've been patiently working.  I haven't doubted myself.  Looks like the blocking came together tonight."

On tying the career field goals record at BYU:  "Its nice to leave your mark on the program.  That is something that is real nice for me and my family."

About the winning kick against Utah State:  "I didn't doubt myself.  Its nice in the sense that I can do something and help out the team.  You're only as good as your last kick."

Jimmy Richards

About the pressure on Feterik:  "They had a lot of penetration.  Kevin was on his backside a lot and we're not proud of that.  But, truth is we still scored 38 points."

About Cal's defensive line:  "They were very strong and quick.  For a bunch of little fat guys, I think we did alright."

About Kevin Feterik: "I admire that man.  I don't have eyes in the back of my head.  I turn around and see him on the ground and he looks like he is in a lot of pain.  A couple of times, I picked him up before he had a chance to stay down."
 

Hashi Robertson

About his interception:  "That was just good coaching.  I've seen that play a ton of times in practice." 

Kevin Feterik

About his health:  "I'm pretty sore.  I thought last week was bad.  Tonight was like a nightmare.  I only practiced one day this last week."

About Cal's defensive line: "Those guys were great defensive players.  It seemed like they were in there almost before I got the snap.  I was getting hit almost every play."

About the interception returned for 80 yards:  "I was trying to throw it away.  I swear I threw it into the ground.  Next thing I know, he's running past me.  I must have set a record for touchdowns for the other team.  I had 6 touchdowns tonight, two for the other team.

About the next two games versus New Mexico and UNLV:  "Its hard to say.  The next two games were supposed to be the slouches of the conference, but that's not evident.  They both won tonight."

Brian Gray

About the status of Rob Morris:  "He's still hurting.  I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't back until UNLV".
