On BYU's 24-7 run to start the second half: "Were we doing something different?  I don't think so, they just got on a streak shooting three pointers.  Our kids kept our composure and fought from behind, which is hard to do on the road."

Why Josh Davis didn't have a good night:  "[Eric] Nielsen, the kid who gets no credit, did a good job on defense.  If he doesn't guard how he did, Josh [Davis] would have had a bigger night."

About facing Utah on Saturday:  "They are a top 25 team.  You give any of us two or three pros and many of us would be pretty good coaches. It'll be war."

On the future of the Mountain West Conference:  "This league is going to be unbelievable.  I'm looking forward to it.  A year from now, every program is going to catch Utah.  I don't know what it'll be like.  It could be the WWF.  We may need five officials."
 

Steve Cleveland

General comments about the game: "It is important to win our home games.  We didn't have our best defensive games.  If Lyday and Wesley don't play well, we don't beat anyone in our conference.  But, they've played really well offensively."

About a letdown from the Utah game:  "Everyone of them gave their all on Saturday night.  No matter who we played tonight, it wasn't going to be the emotional and intense focus a team needed to have.  That Utah game only counts as one.  These games are as equally important."

Why they were out rebounded by 11:  "We're not a very good rebounding team.  Everyone we play is more athletic on the front line.  That's a fact.  We just need to keep focusing on it."

On Wesley's 3-point barage:  "Mekeli shoots 100 threes a day.  Him shooting threes is not an accident."

We will have our hands full.  Colorado State has a week to prepare and we only have a day.  Ceedric Goodwin is a special player.  You'll like him.

On shooting so well:  I had a good week in practice and a good game against Utah that gave me some momentum.  It makes a difference to be at home.

How it feels for a big guy to shoot three pointers:  "It is kind of fun to go outside and bomb away."
