Joe Cravens (Head Coach, Weber State)

General comments on the game:  "I thought that was a very competitive college basketball game.  I thought we played really hard.  We weren't very good offensively, but that has to be attributed to the BYU defense. We held them [BYU] to 42% shooting and 66 points.  I'm pretty happy with our performance defensively."

About BYU's future: "I think BYU's on the [up], I tip my hat to them and their coaching staff.  I think they will be very competitive in their league."

How BYU compares to Utah this year:  "There's a world of difference playing at home and playing on the road.  (Weber beat Utah at home and lost to BYU on the road).  I think it will be a very competitive game."

About Mekeli Wesley:  "He's hard to guard.  He turns around and puts it right on your nose."

Steve Cleveland

General comments about the game: "We came out with a lot more energy, a lot more focus.  When you play with passion, especially at home, defensively and offensive you get a lot more done.  I was really proud of [the players].  It's hard to play three games in a week.  I didn't know if they'd have the energy by the end of the week, but they did."

About the play of Wesley: "In my mind, as much as Mekeli Wesley was the MVP of the tournament, so was Matt Montague.  He ran the team and did an outstanding job defending Eddie Gill."

About going 3-0 this week:  "I'm was very pleased.  We knew this was a big week for us.  We just need to take each game one at a time.  I think this was the most significant week of basketball--probably in the last four or five years."

About the level of this team:  "When we play hard and compete we can play with just about anyone, especially at home."

Mekeli Wesley

Why this team is playing well:  "We have some depth.  It's not just one guy.  Guys come off the bench and we don't miss a step."

About rebuilding the program: "We don't use the work "rebuilding" anymore.  Our expectations are much higher now and [success] is expected of us."

Terrell Lyday

On having a 6-1 record: "We've been talking about 6-1 since I can remember.  It feels real good."

About his transition from Junior College:  I feel like it's not that different because JC was competitive.  The atmosphere is a change--having a big crowd.  I think I've made a good transition."

Michael Vranes

About the progress of the team:  "I think we are a lot better than we were last year.  There is a lot more confidence.  We think we can win every time we go out."
